Most Chinese people have heard about the famous Canadian doctor Dr Norman Bethune but only a few know anything about his early life. Dr Bethune,whose grandfather was also a doctor,was born in Gravenhurst,Ontario. (1)_________________. Later,he worked in a children's hospital in England and then as a doctorin Canada and the United States. Dr Bethune always tried to find new ways of doing things and helping people. In 1936,he went to Spain.There was a war in Spain at the time. He set up a small hospital in a truck. The hospital and Dr Bethune saved many lives.
